Sunday is fabric sorting day

Today i have manged to photograph and up load 25 pictures of fabrics for my online shop - so hopefully i am nearing the time it will go live...
To reward myself i thought i would make myself - literally in fabric! In this months molly makes they have a pattern for these very cute dolls. I am not going to do the same but it did get me thinking..as it my las post and the lovely ideas i got as to what to do with my chewed pink alien. I did do something that you will see at the end of this post. But a gorgeous friend of mine suggested that i take him and photo him on adventures, which i now can't do but again it got me thinking and hence the miss ginger doll. mmmm not sure what it look like and whether she will be worth showing so lets see......
I have also finally starting knitting this cardigan, and lets face it with this British weather, i have a feeling we will be needing woolies alot!

And here is my alien... he has been joined by a friend to stop them being lonely..
Now i think i shall go look at the wonderful things everyone else has been making and doing. Happy sunday one and all!

help needed...

As some people may know i work in a special school. One of the young men i work with loves to play with balls and plastic toys. I invested in a bag of toys for him. Now he also like to eat anything and everything apart from most foods.....I gave him the toy below and within 1 minute I had to take it away. I thought he was a strong little alien man but i'm afraid he couldn't stand up to the test. He is rather cute and now the metal is showing he can no longer be played with. But I can't / won't throw him away (I have watched toy story...). but what can i do...

So what do you suggest happens to the little fellow.. such a short life and already footless rather than footloose. I'm thinking maybe some jar art? But i am hoping i get some suggestions to make his life a happy one....

new borns and new makes

The lovely weather we have been having encouraged me to get my camera out and take some pictures of what goes on by the side of my house. I moved last year - in fact it was a year ago yesterday. I just love where i live! I am lucky enough to live in a lovely part of south east London. And although i live on an estate, it has a large pond in the middle surrounded by some small blocks of flats and lots of grass. The pond had lots of geese and ducks and they have all recently had babies.

In the middle is this rather fabulous statue. I have no idea who he is meant to be and why he is there but i have a little crush on him and say hello when ever i walk past. The water and railings stop me getting any closer. If i could then i think i would like to knit him a nice hat and give him something to hold in his hand.
Alas he is guarded by the ducks too...
I also managed to get the time to make another set of PJ's for a friend who admired mine. She is a gorgeous friend and i owed her a birthday present. I really enjoyed making them for her.
The pattern is by Burda and was relatively easy to follow and a simple pattern
The neck line was probably the trickiest for me and i was pleased with how neatly i got it?

And i am happy to report that she loves them and has slept soundly in them, and they haven't fallen apart yet.........

half term is already coming to an end, where did it go? I have spent much of my time drinking to much with friends in the evening, and getting bits done for my website. taking lots of photos and working out how much i have left on each bolt, who it is made by blah blah....... A long process of which i am not yet half way through. below is a tiny selection of what i have done..

I made my bedroom curtains from this so now i feel like i am asleep outdoors....

With just the weekend to go i best get cracking....

the good and the bad

I have a little sewing mojo on at the moment. I made the top below. Its part of a nightwear set. The pattern is by Burda. It does have matching 'panties',as they call them but i would say bloomers! perfect summer nightwear?
So that is the good....the bad is that i have messed up over the bottoms. Not quite sure what i have done but will have a look with fresh eyes tomorrow as they are super easy.?!!! Infact that is probably where i went wrong, too confident. It always bites you in the end...
I hope to show you the set tomorrow have a lovely rest of the day everyone.

my bank holiday pinny

The bank holiday is over so quickly but i did manage to finish the pinny i was making. I have even worn it to do the house work and it made the tasks a little easier.
I really enjoyed making it and like the fabric mix, even though it is quite 'twee!'
I did start a new project which hopefully i will finish this week, it vintage look nightwear...
Hope you all enjoyed the sunshine!

I have been working on my 'make' and it is nearly done. It is just a little pinny and I will finish at the weekend, as it is a long weekend I am hoping that I will get to make something from one of the below. Last night I went to see Beyoncé and it has put me a little behind. But I must share the pictures below. All on sale soon from my soon to come website. Hope you like.
